Ever since my co-op at Hasbro, I've been interested in the toy industry and have been keeping an eye out for exciting opportunities. I watched MGA's Rainbow High - an animated series based on their new doll line - and saw they were hosting a poster competition on their Instagram for the theme Winter Break Dance Party.
I'm ecstatic to say that I was chosen as one of five winners of an award prize and my poster is featured in an episode of the series that's available on Netflix and Rainbow High's official YouTube.

I just wanted to have some fun with this contest, so I designed a poster I knew I would have fun making and that I thought the students of Rainbow High would enjoy creating as well. While many entries went with a more fanart-like style, I wanted my poster to fit in with the episode's school environment so I chose not to include any of the characters but rather took a more typographic approach. Many of the neon doodles are inspired by certain characters or objects in the show!
MGA Entertainment is a children's toy company, well-known for brands like Bratz and L.O.L. Surprise! Rainbow High is one of their latest doll lines and has an accompanying animated show that features the girls of the doll line attending an art school!
